The Divinity IN for Humanity (Jinrui Soku Kami Nari)
Jinrui Soku Kami Nari (人類即神也) is a Japanese spiritual phrase that means ‘Humanity is divine’ or ‘Humanity is one with the universe.’ The IN of Jinrui Soku Kami Nari is performed in service to others — it is a universal invocation for the inner peace and awakening to divine consciousness of each and every human being.
The Divinity IN for Humanity can be performed by anyone who wishes to send the energy of love and light to all people on earth. It is a wonderful way to assist in the evolution of consciousness that is taking root today.
Sounds, movements, and breath
One you have acquired a good grasp of the Divinity IN for the Self, the Divinity IN for Humanity comes quite naturally. Like the first IN, the IN of Jinrui Soku Kami Nari is a series of specific sounds (sound vibrations, called kotodama in Japanese), precise hand and arm movements, and deep, peaceful breathing, all synchronized in perfect harmony.
Each of the sound/movement combinations carries a specific meaning. Once we have become comfortable with making the sounds and movements, we can begin to pay more attention to the meaning behind them, if we wish to, letting it resonate in our consciousness to further enhance our practice.
The Divine Affirmation of Jinrui Soku Kami Nari
The Divinity IN for Humanity is traditionally preceded by a formal affirmation of humanity’s divinity. Although this recitation is optional, it is very beneficial in our practice of the IN. The words of the affirmation help us to acknowledge, understand, and hold in our mind the image of human beings as divine beings, no matter what events may be taking place around us and in the world.
