Located at the foot of magnificent Mount Fuji in Japan, Fuji Sanctuary is the headquarters of Byakko Shinko Kai. Open to the public since 1998, Fuji Sanctuary is a place where people of all faiths, nationalities and backgrounds can pray together for a brighter, more peaceful world. It is a place filled with the energy of love, light, and harmony.
Over the years, the accumulated prayers of thousands and thousands of peace-loving individuals from around the world have filled Fuji Sanctuary with beautiful, harmonious vibrations. Today, the sanctuary is a center for the transformation of human consciousness – a place where people transcend differences in religion, culture, and background to freely offer heartfelt prayers for peace on earth.
Surrounded by the flags of the world, the outdoor Prayer Field, which can accommodate well over 10,000 people, is the main gathering site for the large-scale monthly peace prayer ceremonies and special ‘grand ceremonies’ held throughout the year. The broad entryway to the Prayer Field is known as the Peace Path, and is lined with peace poles offering prayers for peace in each country.
Visitors to Fuji Sanctuary can enjoy tranquil strolls along wooded trails, or a reflective walk through the Seven Stations. While at Fuji Sanctuary, people are encouraged to express their gratitude to nature, and to try and refrain from using any negative words. Likewise, Byakko Shinko Kai is committed to developing Fuji Sanctuary in a way that respects and protects the natural world, as exemplified by the new environmentally friendly ‘flush-free’ toilet facility.
